Jyväskylä

Business Area Europe, Plate Service Center

Working as a trusted business partner with our customers, Outokumpu’s Jyväskylä Plate Service Center specializes in completely customized solutions. Products are manufactured and packed to exacting customer specifications.
Dating to the 1980s, Outokumpu’s plate service operation in Finland showcases the expertise and accuracy our customers depend on. At Jyväskylä, plasma and water jet cutting are used to produce uniquely tailored materials from customer drawings. Bevel cutting saves customers time and money: Pieces are ready for welding with no additional machining needed.

Automated stock handling equipment treats material gently, minimizing scratches. In 2017, our expansion project in the product finishing area delivers added efficiencies in packing and air cleaning systems, and a better work environment.

This value-added service is integral to the Jyväskylä operation, whose staff make it a priority to know and understand our customers’ special needs. This makes it possible to provide the right material produced the right way, first time, every time.

Outokumpu quarto plate, mostly in austenitic and duplex stainless steel, represents a significant volume of Jyväskylä’s output. All Outokumpu standard and special products are available.
